Empowering Young Women Through Skills Training: IAAT’S Successful Graduation Ceremony For Project N4G

It was a proud moment for the beneficiaries of N4G program as they graduated on the 22nd of July, 2021 after a period of 6 months of intensive training in dressmaking and yarn weaving. A total of 99 students, 78 in dressmaking and 21 in yarn weaving, received their certificates, marking the end of their journey and the start of a new chapter in their lives.

The graduation ceremony was held at the Modern City hotel in Tamale and was sponsored by GIZ. The theme of the graduation, “Network for enterprise development learning through sewing for girls” (N4G), was a testament to the organization’s commitment to empowering young girls through skills training and education. Dignitaries in attendance included Mr. John Duti, Team Leader for Invest for Jobs at GIZ, Professor Alhassan Seidu, the current Vice Chancellor of UDS, and Gregory Kanko, CEO of Group Nallem STM and President of IAAT.

The graduation ceremony was a fitting celebration of the hard work and dedication of the students. The students, dressed in their finest attire, beamed with pride as they received their certificates and heard words of encouragement from the dignitaries in attendance. The atmosphere was festive and filled with joy as the students celebrated their achievements and looked forward to a bright future, thanks to the skills they had acquired through the N4G program.
